Killer bees by themselves "usually" do very little harm. But when do you see a bee by itself? It's an attack by a swarm that will do you in.

Africanized bees acquired the name "killer bees" because they will viciously attack people and animals who unwittingly stray into their territory, often resulting in serious injury or death. Though their venom is no more potent than native honey bees, Africanized bees attack in far greater numbers and pursue perceived enemies for greater distances. Once disturbed, colonies may remain agitated for 24 hours, attacking people and animals within a range of a quarter mile from the hive.

Killer bee is a misnomer popularized by Hollywood and the media. A single sting from an Africanized bee actually has slightly less venom than that of a domestic (European) honey bee. For most people, a single bee sting is painful, but not life-threatening. However, if you are allergic to honey bee stings (less than one person in 100 is), a single sting from either bee --Africanized or domestic-- could cause a severe allergic reaction. If you are allergic, you should carry a bee sting kit.

A ie one killer bee or more correctly an Africanised bee can only sting you and only once, and unless you are allergic wouldn't do much harm. It is their sheer numbers combined with aggression that does the damage, and they go for the eyes first so even if you lives chances are you could end up blind.

A killer bee can sting you and unless you are alergic it should be non-fatal. Probably more of an inconvenience than anything.

A few hundred killer bee stings and you will start to feel a bit on the bad side. That is when the world fades to black.

Individually not a lot, but the swarm aggressively and rather than stinging once like most bees, killer bees just keep stinging, and stinging and stinging. What is most signifigant about them is their persistance, you can run but can't hide,
Find water and get in, they wait for you to come back out.
