One thing you really need to remember is that R and D dont nescessarily mean conservative or liberal. There are a few somewhat conservative dems ( such as Joe Lieberman as an example ) and there are several liberal republicans.
Quit voting based on party. Vote based on how much the candidates voting record and ideology match what you are for.
This requires of course a little bit of homework which some people dont wan't to do. But remember what they say and what they do are often not the same thing.

I favor the Democrats. I find it sad that many people vote Republican because they are pro life, gun toting, fools. How can this be the most important issue to someone. If it wasn't for these 2 issues the Republicans would get a lot less votes. Personally, I think we all have a responsibility to take care of America and the people who live here. Lets vote for the candidate who is going to do the most for our country and it's citizens. Aren't issues like health care, social security, education, terrorism, poverty and global warming more important than your right to have a gun and lower taxes? If people would just vote for someone that wants to do what's best for every person in our country and not just in their best interests, we'd have a better America to leave to our children.
With that being said, I would vote outside my party if I thought the candidate would make a good president. Show me a good Republican and I'll consider him. Too bad you're so narrow minded you can't do the same.

Certainly not the Democratic Party of Republican. Nations who have that title are usually communists and the "workers" have no rights.

republican because I've heard it is always better to vote for your party...the only democrat I would ever consider voting for is possibly Ben Nelson. but I don't think he's going to run...
However, I tend to think that ALL politicians are corrupt, so often times it is just picking the lesser of two evils...the safest bet is to stick with my party.
Swim Mom: Republicans don't want to see people starve. But they respect American society and do give the people some credit that they do know how to take care of themselves...I think Dems want to take all our money and distrubute it as THEY see fit...most of the time for things I don't agree with...they are one step below Communists! Reps just have faith in society that people can make decisions on their own, yet they support the TRULY poor and needy...

Democrats. I would consider voting for a republican if the democratic option wasn't well qualified, but generally I always side with the dems.
and just so you know, there are conservative democrats as well as liberal republicans.
the words democrat and liberal are NOT synonyms

in the twilight of life, even the staunchest republicans become liberal...like Barry Goldwater. I don't think the republican party has a generation of relevance left in them. they're just too damn mean.

With Pelosi trying to sway votes b4 even in position and backing off border control and Bush with his (and Sr's) NWO agenda we'd better pray for a miracle.
