carved your name in a tree??

Sure did...46 years ago, in 1961. I was a dopey kid and was intrigued that the year - 1961 read the same when you turned it upside down.

So I carved my name with the year sideways and it read correctly whether you were coming or going!

No not in a tree but at a table in a bar in College Station, Texas. It was not easy!

Absolutely not! Do you know what that does to trees?? I've seen trees that were dead standing because they had so many people's names, years, and initials carved into them.
Please, if you are planning on this, think twice!
