People are greedier and more selfish nowadays and most people just don't have the morals of past generations. People are told about their rightsand basically told they can do whatever they want to do, and many do. Life isd much more hectic and busy and couples can spend a lot of time apart working and this I think leads to people having affairs.

I'm not saying that its right though because I don't agree with it even though I did it once when I was at the end of my tether with my ex wife. Sometimes people marry for the wrong reasons and the minute something goes wrong, rather than work it out people just move on the someone else and leave carnage all around.

No one goes to church(there were 9 people in my church last week including the Minister and the organist, so no one seems to care about the holiness bit sadly. As for morals if you ask me few people have them nopw and those of us that do are laughed and and classed as old fashioned and living in the past.

I hope this helps you.

I have been cheated on, and did everything I could to save the marriage, but she did not want to. Sometimes people marry because they think they are obliged to after being with someone for a certain amount of time. Others fall out of love. Sometimes people are just too selfish to finish one relationship before starting another.

I agree with Wiggles...every situation is different. Not all cheaters are bad people...they can be good people who have a VERY bad lapse in judgement during a trying time or crazy circumstances. My husband cheated on me in some very crazy circumstances, I forgave him because he was very remorseful and guilty, I do not believe always a cheater...I would love to tell you I would never cheat...but nobody knows what tomorrow holds. And what destiny has in store for us. I have absolutely NO INTENTION of cheating because it hurts like hell. A year ago I would have told you I would kick my hubby to the curb if he ever cheated!! Circumstances!!!!

well...back in the days we didnt have the term "PIMP" or "PLAYER" it was just nice and simple. Two people would get together and have a nice life with eachother for the rest of their lives (in most cases). Now days the media it self tells us to cheat. Cheat is IN. Although not all of us do cheat, cheat has grown into us as something to do for fun. I know that it's very fuc*ed up but there really isn't much we can do. And for those nice people who are true to their other partner and get cheated on, they become disloyal to themselves and to others. And then there's no more trust, and without trust there is going to be cheating involved. Or a hell of a lot of fights! Anyways why do people cheat so much? well because we're now raised with that in our minds and that it's ok.

I am sad for you. You choose to look at the negatives and see all the world around you as bad. I'm sure it will fall on deaf ears, but please try not to over-generalize so much. There are lots of couples who are faithful to one another throughout life, and even in many couples where one person has cheated, they have worked through that, learned, grown, and become more mature, responsible people as a result. Every error is an opportunity to learn.

It is not that people have become less moral, it is that their are more people and that we know more about what everyone else is doing. Their was immorality 100 years ago, it just was not live at 5 pm news.

MAN I WISH I HAD THE ANSWER TO THAT ONE... BUT I REALLY THINK THAT CHEATING IS JUST LIKE A CHAIN PEOPLE IN RELATIONSHIP USUALLY CHEATS BECAUSE THE OTHER PERSON "DID IT FIRST" SO THINK ABOUT IT ONE CHEATS ON ANOTHER ONE THE OTHER ONE DO THE SAME AND SO ON.. IS ALL A GAME A VERY DANGEROUS GAME..

I've been cheated on but I would never cheat. Of course, everyone says that but it comes down to situations. You never know when or where it could happen. I would like to think I would never cheat but I guess one never knows.
