What is the safest way of discarding of broken glass or glass items...such as old light bulbs, mirrors, etc? I've always wrapped items in newspaper and put them in a box or something.
Just wondering how everyone else discards glass

Sounds like you are doing the right thing. That is what I do.

If it's a light bulb, what you're already doing is fine. If it's a broken drinking glass or window glass, something like that, you can just recycle it like you would glass jars, if your area has recycling. For a mirror, that has a silver coating on the back to make it reflective and I don’t know if it would be recyclable. You could check with your city’s garbage dept. or you could just wrap it and throw it out, as you said.

PUT THEM IN THE RECYCLING BEN OF GARBAGE. THAT IS WHAT I DO, AFTER ALL THAT IS WHERE GLASS GARBAGE SHOULD GO. DO YOU OR DO YOU NOT HAVE RECYCLING LAWS WHERE YOU LIVE?
