According to the U.S. Department of State, all U.S. citizens will need a passport when traveling to/from the "United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda". This new requirement is outlined in detail at:

Your question is a little confusing, but it seems to me that you are Canadian.
Look in the blue pages of your phone book for the federal government section, then look for passports. Also get yourself to a sub post office (usually in a drugstore or grocery store,) and ask for a passport application form. Sit down and read it over a couple of times.
There are a number of things you will need, like a pair of signed photographs taken by a professional photographer and a guarantor who will acknowledge your identity on a signed document. Here, a lawyer, accountant, physician or other professional is best.
You'll also need the names of two personal references to vouch for you.
Fill out all the information, then either mail it to the address indicated in your information package or else take it to a federal government passport office (remember how I told you to look it up in the phone book?)
This is the busiest time of year for passports, and the new US requirement for either a passport or special pass card for all those people entering the United States by air since last Tuesday makes it even busier than usual. I doubt if you will be able to get a Canadian passport in less than two months.
If that is not convenient for you, well, that's unfortunate. You should have applied earlier.

Are you a Canadian citizen or a U. S. citizen. If you are Canadian,go to the first website listed below for informationon getting a passport. If you are a American, go to the second website for passport info. Or, you can go to your local post office to the passport office there for an application. Cost of U.S. passport is $97.00 total. Must have a passport to FLY to Mexico. And you DO need a visa. if your visit to Mexico is for 180 days or less, you just need to tourist card which you will be able to get while ON THE PLANE for about $20.00
