I talked about marriage with my fiance after 4 years of us being together. I told him what I wanted. Not to propose in public (like at a restaurant, i would have been so embarrassed and i told him i would say no if he ever did that), not to propose on any holiday or near a big holiday like xmas or near my bday and I told him he has to get down on 1 knee and have a speech ready.
Well my fiance after almost 5 yrs together, got down on 1 knee while we were camping (in an RV, not roughing it) and handed me a ring and started a speech. After i saw the ring i wasnt listening! I told him oh well you should have handed it to me after you were done because i cant pay attention now (i said it silly like not bitchy). And he had actually written out a speech (typed it up) and brought it with him! But he couldnt remember it and I said he could just read it, he didnt need to memorize it! I was so impressed he typed something up and then tried to memorize it! And then I reread the speech myself. And now I am going to frame it and I will have his proposal speech for the rest of my life, so i will never forget. I am going to hang it over our bed, when we buy a house together.
He had wanted to take me out to dinner and had wanted to ask me on a beach nearby but i kept ruining his surprise because the weather was bad so i didnt want to stay outside. Also i was hungry and he had bought tons of food for our trip so i was like "why dont we just eat something here". After he proposed then i knew why he wanted so bad to take me to a nice dinner first. Instead I had had like hot dogs and beans for dinner!

My hubby took me on a picnic by a lake near where we lived. He borrowed a friend's canoue and we paddled to a little inlet on the opposite side away from everyone. He wanted me to climb to the top of the hill but I couldn't make it so we sat on the rocky shore and ate our lunch. After lunch he pulled out the ring, got on is knee (on the jagged rocks) and popped the question. I had absolutely no clue that he was even going to ask it was a total surprise.

convinced, we are engaged. i actually imagine he in common words planned to inquire from me to bypass in with him and it got here out 'do you want to get married?". i needed to get married right now (courthouse - I wasn't prepared on a wedding ceremony), yet he wanted a wedding ceremony, so we get married in December. opposite to some posters, there are a mess of those who in basic terms come to a decision to get married and get married interior some weeks. there's no 'engagement era. So, convinced, you may get married without being engaged. My mothers and fathers did that, as did my sister (2d marriage).
