Sounds like you're adding and subtracting fractions.

-4/7 - -6/7

Whenever you're subtracting add the opposite. So here we're subtracting a negative, so we'll add a positive

Rewrite like this:

-4/7 + 6/7

Because we already have common denominators go ahead and add the numerators.

What's -4 + 6?

Your answer is 2/7.

Hope that helped...Good Luck in your Math.

I believe you are asking -4/7 - (-6/7)
Since they have a common denominator already you just need to add the numerators : - 4 - (- 6) = -4 + 6 = 2

So your answer is -4/7 + 6/7 = 2/7

Ok let me get this right...

Is this problem???...

(-4/7) - (-6/7)=?
Is that right?

If so then....
Since the denominators (bottom numbers of the fractions) are the same...
you can combind the problem....so you get...

((-4)-(-6))/7

....Since a negative times a negative makes a positive....

(-4+6)/7

or re-write it as...

(6-4)/7

...so you just do basic subtraction...
and you get....

2/7...

or if you want it in decimal point...

Hopefully I answered your question...
