Okay, so I'm not getting my period.. and yes, I'm a virgin, and I've been on a regular cycle for 3 years. I usually get it a little earlier than this and I'm just wondering if there's a reason why?

Stress or unusual eating habits can delay your period. If your period is over two weeks due I would get it checked out by a doctor.

Have you been under more stress lately? Have you been sick lately? Have you been eating properly lately? Are you significantly underweight? If you have a boyfriend, is there any chance that even a drop of his semen or lube (AKA pre-c*m) got on on your labia? I ask the last question because sperm will find there way if given even half a chance, without intercourse.

The first four questions are just as significant.

If none of these seems to be the answer, then see your doctor, as this could indicate some other, significant problems.

Your body is just changing. Don't worry. This actually happened to me about 4 months ago. Mine had came over a week late. I've been on a regular cycle for about 5 years. It will come. I promise. And after it does come, you should be back on a regular cycle.

Good Luck ; )

Not gettiing your period is called "Amenorrhea". Not getting your period could be due to a number of things with stress being one of them, this can also be triggered by a hormonal disorder, pregnancy, malnutrition, over exercising. Treatment depends on the cause. Sometimes hormones will be given to begin the cycle.

You should have a physical exam to determine the cause and method of treatment. Meanwhile you should eat properly, exercise and reduce the stress.

It could be a lot of things sweetie. If you truly haven't had any sexual contact (not just intercourse! sometimes genital contact is all it takes!), then any number of things can delay your period.

I don't know how old you are, but when I was high school age, my cycle was very erratic. I have been told things like stress or a change in diet or exercise can easily mess up a girl's cycle.

If you don't get your period this month at all, consider seeing a doctor. You may have a hormonal imbalance that needs to be corrected.

Good luck sweetie!

There are lots of reasons other than pregnancy. The top few would be, have you started a diet recently?, have you been working out really hard, have you had a big jump in stress and finally could you be too thin?

Stress? Are your exercising more than before? Eating less? Taking a medication that is new?

Ask your self has there been any major changes recently.

Have you recently started an altheltic program (weight training, aerobics, etc?) If so that could effect it. So could scarring on the ovaries, ovarian cyts, etc. Wait it out a little while (2 weeks) and since you're positive you aren't pregnant, call gyno's office and make appointment.

If you started on the pill for whatever reason that can happen. It can also happen when there are changes in your life or inside your body (weight, stress, change in eating habits, excessive exercise). If you are underweight, it can happen. Don't sweat it if it hasn't been that long, but go see a doctor.
