I was wondering if there is anyway to know if there will be an incredible sunset or just an average one so you can plan on watching it

first it's all about where you are. find out when the actual time of the sun setting will take place. for me in the wintertime it happens somewhere around 4:30. second make sure that there aren't too many clouds in the sky. it's fine if it's the light sirrus clouds(the whispy ones) and not the nimbus clouds (the fat marshmallow ones). and finally, it's all about placement. it's better if you're high up and facing the direction of the sunset. also it would be choice to see it going down the horizon instead of a building or a mountain side. i like to watch sunsets in the summertime whenever i'm on a beach. the visual of the final sunbeams bouncing off the water makes for a neat effect.
