I have a epson c42ux and a rx425 both printer are saying they need a service i have been told they only need paper counter reset has anybody got ideas how

Ok well most printers when they dont work its either because the drivers arent correct for the Operating system, The Ink is out so the printer will not print. I had an Epson printer when one ink ran out even if the other 3 were full it would not print, Or the printer itself does need a repair with its built in repair if it has one or to be serviced by a professional.

I would start with Looking to see if the inks are all filled up, then the drivers.

Go to Epson web page and run there software to check out your printer that will give you the lowdown on problems.

The best way in such a situation is uninstallig drivers a install it back again. You can also find in manual how to hard restart the printer. Usually you have to hold the power button for a while. You can also check the website for the latest drivers. Did you check it on a different computers if it works. You can also check the producent website. I think it is very helpful. One of the on-line manuals require service pack 2 to be installed. Here are links:

Dont buy Epson they put these crappy bits in to make you spend your money, pity really because they are good printers but greedy company.
