I have two children and really didn't want to work outside of the home, but having some extra money was something that I wanted. I decided to do some reading.

I spent two months reading everything I could on the Internet. I came across a site called SiteBuildIt that showed me I could create my own web site and make money that way. I was hesitant as it costs $299 to purchase it. After thinking about it and reading more, I decided to give it a try.

My site is about resume writing. I know a lot about the topic and I love to write about it, so it was an easy choice. Some people do their sites on their hobbies, such as scrapbooking, woodworking, gardening and so on.

The way I make money is by placing Google ads on the site. When people click on those ads, I make money. This month, I'm looking at making just under $300 (Google will not allow people to state what they specifically make). Also, last week, I put my resume book on the site for sale. No biters on that yet, but I think it will grow over time.

Creating your own web site is hard work (you have to research and write), but it really is a good feeling to show people what you can do. My self-esteem has even improved.

I'll list my web site below and if you want more information, click on the "My Passion" button on my site or click on the "Contact Us" button and ask me any questions you want. I have helped two other people here on Yahoo Answers get started with their web sites. One lady just purchased her second site, too. She's doing GREAT (probably better than I am). :)

It's a real business and you own it. That's the best part. Your success depends on you, not a boss or a company who cares about their bottom line instead of yours. Plus, like me, you can be at home.

I have two children and I'm starting on my Master's degree (tonight, actually), so I need the flexibility, too.

Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose to do.

First, never pay for a "job" and don't believe any get rich quick schemes. Don't waste your time on surveys and the like. Most don't even pay, you just get a chance to win a sweepstakes. Huge time waster.

I work from home doing affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is creating websites to make money from helping people sell their products or selling advertising.

There's a lot of room for opportunity in this field and the money makes itself. You won't get rich quick but if you work hard enough you can earn a substantial amount of revenue. A good book for information on affiliate marketing is the rich jerk. This is what help me get started working from home. Check it out here

I have a couple of ideas and I would share them private email. But do yourself a favor and don't get wrapped up in the online stuff as it only cost money and you're responsible for the marketing. If you're going to market something, let it be your own unique business.

I have an idea that you could use by telephone. E-mail me at: e.o_m_g@Yahoo.com,. I will send you the information on a fund raiser program that you can offer by phone to people that want to raise money for groups. At 5 groups per day, 5 days per week you could make $50 minimum your first week and more each succeeding week.
