Specifally, more in the North County area.

Belly Up in Solana Beach always has good live entertainment.

There's actually a ton of places. Here you can see Del Mar clubs and bars http://www.discoversd.com/california/san-diego/ca/del-mar-clubs-bars-nightlife.html but it also shows some other North County places too.
