a little math question

First let's multiply 2 by 18.1 We get 36.2 so we've got

60.4 = 36.2 + 2w

Now let's subtract 36.2 from both sides.

60.4 (-36.2) = 36.2 (-36.2) + 2w

24.2 = 2w

Divide both sides by 2

12.1 = w

You need to solve for the variable which means getting w on either side of the equal side by itself. Whatever you do to one side of the equal sign you need to do to the other in order to keep everything equal. Hope this helps...Good Luck in your Math
