Hi, just need a few pointers on the Simms game.

May seem a silly question but we have installed the game and when they talk it comes out like another language...is it supposed to be like this? or is it just kind double dutch?
Sorry I have never seen this game before and not sure what I'm doing to help my daughter....could you give me some pointers to get her started on the right track.....the instruction booklet goes on forever!
Ta very much guys and gals!

Oh yeh and we have installed the English version.. a few times just to make sure!

since you got the language answer already, so here is the getting started part, get a job as soon as possable, dont decorate till you have a fridge and a stove, a bed, a tv, toilet and shower, smoke alarm, burgaler alarm, a phone and a book case, use your book case to study on cooking as soon as you can this will keep you from burning down the house, use the phone to hire a main and a gardner, and the rest is fun to explore, oh and the more sims in your house with a job the more money your house gets, so think couple rather than single

Well, just like everyone has said, it is their own way of english...like sim style. But If your daughter plays it quite a bit you can understand it a whole lot better. Some sims can speak in english but it only happens if you play it 24/7 trust me I tried. I am only 12 and been playing it for 4 or 3 years already and I know alot. When the sims communicate they might say simple words like "Yo" or "Huh?" not that much that they can talk. They mostly babble, so I hope this helps enough.

No, they do not talk in English, they talk in gibberish. You can only understand what they are saying by the vocal inflections and body language.

It's a sim language, and if you play long enough you'll start to understand it. (I hear the sims kids leave for school when my kids leave in the morning!)
