There is stronger and stronger evidence linking female increased attraction to men with male homosexuality in their offspring. Though the gay male contributes less offspring (i.e. propagates the gene less), because of being gay, this is offset by the productivity (propagating the gene more) within their mothers making it a advantageous gene trait..

It's also thought that this isn't "activated" usually, unless there are some stress hormones released during the second trimester of gestation - brought to light after an extensive study into the spike in homosexuals born shortly after the blitz, in London in the 1940s.

As far as proof, there is rarely solid proof of much, in science. There is evidence. The evidence is piling up supporting just what Gay and Lesbian folk have been saying for years. Born that way.

Why would anyone in their right mind "Choose" to be shunned, hated, spat upon, disowned by family and friends, and all the rest negative things which G/L face in life. Only a fool or someone with a bias to promulgate could think otherwise.

Much less evidence exists about Lesbians, but it's thought to be s similar factor as in men.

When you came on earth you were nothing but a little baby and one day after and other you became what you are today. Your education as a lot to do with the influence of your environment (family, friends, brothers, sisters etc.) and your personal curiosity. Your orientation is your capability to respond to your desires. My parents were not gay but I am. My brothers are not either, neither my sister is but they have open mind and that help me a lot to do my coming out. Because I grow up and took my own decision I choose to be who I am. You don't turn gay either because this is not a choice to be. Sexual desires are control by yourself do not let other do it for you. It just does not work at all.

Most are born gay. But some probably have experiences that make them gay. There is no solid proof that it is genetic, but there are parallels in chemicals and reactions found in gay men that are similar to straight women and vise versa.

I think they are born that way...Why would anyone choose to be gay. Life is much more difficult for the gay community.
