I think we begin to have more things in common with our parents as we get older. My mom and I choose to live very different lives but now that I'm older I see some similiarities.

I don't know.... right now I'm a little more like my dad then my mom, but I hope I change that. My mom is a real stand up lady, and I admire her a lot. I'm beginning to develop a bit of a quick temper like my dad, so I hope that doesn't get worse, I want it to go away.

(Unfortunately) You are your parents' child... Therefore some things might be the same... as you get older those traits just become more obvious to you, because you get more self-aware as you get older... that's all... You will never have the bad habits if you CHOOSE not to have them.

I'm 35 and already my mom- I like it too and have embraced it- there's nothing in the world we wouldn't do for one another. I can't speak about my dad though, it's a tolerable tandem.

I think it`s unavoidable. Maybe not totally become them but have some of their traits. If you have children of your own, you will definitely know what I mean. It`s a subconscious thing.
