help im burnt?

call me stupid but i burnt myself by grabbing a hot pan pls help it waz about 20 min ago and i dont think i can write it hurts like hell!

Ok listen to me im a Boy Scout and this is what you should do. Run it under luke warm water not HOT or COLD, Dont put ice on it, it can cause the burnt skin to die and you can get frost bite or a serious infection. Dont put any ointments on it either, just a little bit of neosporine. Then put a bandade or the cloth ones with some medical tape. If its a first degree burn (red and it hurts) then luke warm water and some neosporine with a bandage. Second degree burn (red with blisters) DONT POP them it will hurt like a mother and will cause an infection. Put your hand under lukewarm water and put a bandage. If pain is unberiable then see a doctor or go to the hospitol. And las third degree burn (Red, blisters, burnt skin) dont do anything but wrap it in a bandage and go to a hospitol immedietly. That sucks. Try putting some ice on it, it will help with the pain and take some tylenol. If you get blisters, or broke the skin, you really should have it looked at...infections in burns happen easily, and the doctors can prescribe some creams that will make it feel much better.

when I get burned I put toothpaste over the burn to dehydrate the water in the blister and create somewhat of a scab. it might not be that bad or it could be even worse (in which case I suggest you seek the help of a medical professional)

keep running your hand under water and go see a doctor. Burns are serious and can get infected.
