Evolution - because creationism/intelligent design is based on nothing but wishful thinking.

Don't pay to much attention to the bible that was jus a book written by man (god's word yes,but still written by man), God basically started the ball rolling. Science points out the big bang to be the inital creation point but the time before the singularity and the Big Bang when there was nothining so where did the first atoms come from, well using Einstein E=mc2 then m=E/c2 so an extremely large amount of energy was concentrated to form the first atoms in the singulartity where did this energy come from divine intervention of course...
God started the ball rolling and now it is up to us to make it work.

There is no contest.
Evolutionism is a word coined by creationists in an attempt to give themselves some sort of legitimacy.
Creationism is pure nonsense based on a literal acceptance of words written thousands of years ago to explain things to simple people.
Science demonstrates that the universe is millions of years old and shows its progression till its present state.
THIS DOES NOT SHOW THAT GOD WAS NOT THE CREATOR!. It simply shows the dangers of taking the words of the Old Testament literally.
Creationism is an attempt by fundamentalist Christians to gain power. The use of the word evolutionism is one of its strategies.
Don't be fooled!
(And now, stand by for the abuse).

Here is the issue. Why do either have to win? Why can't they co-exist. Creationalism is based on the fact that the bible is 100% truth. Stories written in the earliest books of the old testament, were handed down from generation to generation, for so long that the story kept changing.

Look at the Dinosaurs. Based on the bible, there is no way that the dinosaurs should have existed. There was no earth for them to be on all those millions of years ago. But we find their remains constantly.

Why then couldn't God have created the Earth millions of years in the past? Maybe the Bible only starts where humans finally evolved into our currect state. I think that would probably work for both sides.

Like Zach said, no one knows- but against what Zach said, it's not a waste of time to ask!
Okay, so yes, the earth and everything in it is evolving...or is it? One of the fundamental laws of science states that everything tends toward chaos, a principle called entropy, I believe. Therefore, if everything from the beginning of time has been heading towards a chaotic, ruinous state, doesn't that throw a "monkey" wrench into the idea that we E-volved from apes? (haha) According to entropy, we are actually DE-volving. And yes, I realize we all can have longer life spans than those who lived in the 1700s, for example; but the people of that era did not have the advanced technology, or the medicine, or the knowledge that we have now. Without all these things, many of us would be dying at middle age, from cancer, heart disease/failure, the flu, etc. Plus, many of the killers of the 18th century (eg. black plague) have not been seen since then. Obviously, my stand is with creationalism.
Your question as to "who wins?" is this: right now it's a stalemate. There are just as many creationists as evolutionists out there, and even some who are trying to compromise. And in response to what someone else answered to this question, it is NOT a matter of science, it is based on faith. Yes, as much as evolutionists hate to admit it, evolution is not science, because for something to be a science, it has to:
1) be able to be observed
2) be able to be repeated in experiments.
There is actually a third condition, but I forget it =P
So, since evolution can neither be observed nor repeated, it is not a science, and the battle as to who is right will go on until eternity, when the winner will be declared.
The second part of your question is easy. "Natural selection" is not the same as evolution. Creationists believe in natural selection as well as evolutionists. Natural selection refers to the fact that the weaker creatures, or those less suited to their environment, of a species are more likely to die out quickly than the stronger, or better adapted creatures. Take this story:

There is a certain type of moth of which there are two varieties: a brown one with whitish gray markings, and a whitish gray one with brown markings. These moths make their homes in forests where a certain type of moss grows on the tree trunks. This moss is a whitish gray and provides perfect camouflage for the moths of the same color, but makes the brown moths "easy pickins" for birds. Obviously, when this moss is growing, the brown moths' population plummets while the white moths' population is quite stable. However, the moss goes through a growing cycle in which it is dormant for long periods of time, exposing the brown trunks of the trees it grows on. Then the white moths stand out, and the brown moths are camouflaged, reversing the population ratios. For years evolutionists pointed to this and said, "Ha! See, these moths are evolving to protect themselves!" WRONG! Both varieties of the moth were present at all times and retained their moth characteristics. One color just had a lower population number than the other at any given time. This is an example of natural selection. One color comes close to being killed off because its environment is hostile to it, but when the evironment changes- BOOM! The other color is on the dinner menu. Neither variety "evolved" into the other. Therefore, God created life, and PROVIDED the earth with natural selection, its own type of "breeding" program, to help the creatures on the earth cope with entropy and to keep us as strong as possible for as long as possible, because He loves us.

I hope this provided you with some valuable information you can use to make up your own mind.

It's a false choice.

God could have used natural selection to provide life as it is (which to me makes him/her seem far cleverer than if he/she created each species one at a time...)

Go ahead try this at home: buy lots and lots of clay and start making animals..Okay? time consuming, yes, but eventually you'd get there.

Now...from nothing create a machine that not only makes all of the known animals, but even the ones you haven't thought of...

go on...we're waiting...

Now THAT would be superhuman...not to mention all powerful.

well, if it would be evolutionalism, then God would be blind idiot, I would say God hate us all

and if creatiationalism win, then God would be totally transcendental from the universe, and the nature and human soul could never never meet

in this instance, evolutionalism, has greater power of unity between nature and human soul, but I am afrait it would be everlasting struggle between mighty nature and accidental human kind, and creatiationalism has closer connection with universal law of nature and God, where evolutionalism would be nature that holds law of life or death and give tools only to the sages, the rest who don't know evolution, which don't know how (don't have tools) create evolution, are alive from one day to another probably :-)

I'd say: evolutionism 1, creationism 0.
yes, there is evidence for god, for the believers.
yes, there is evidence for evolution, for the observant.

but what it really comes down to is the emotional state of the asker. this is a question which can't really be answered by reasoning. so you have to pick your own winner.

The creationist view gave roots to the debate of evolution.
Lets take it to next step.
Let the tree of evolution continue to flourish.

The fact that men tells other men that all the things that happen on this on earth happen only by random chance it totally impossible for me to believe... Now don't get me wrong there are things that randomly happen but they are not perfect thing. Now for man kind to produce other members of mankind takes perfection that mankind just does not have the ability to do... Also the other things that man creates are very, very far from being perfect.. That alone is enough to tell me that God exist. And that God is perfect............................

This is a question based in principle of existence. They go hand in hand. It is the principle of Yin/Yang. Up-down, left-right, in-out, over-under, physical-spiritual(energy). Nothing happens on the physical level unless is goes through spiritual. If you're refering to the fabricated God of religion - all hope is lost in any effort to scrath the surface.
