I am picking up Al harrington and dropping patterson right now to waivers. I'm thinking of dropping Kirelinko and Picking up either Haslem, Nick Collision, Jason Kapono. What do you think? I need some advice to keep up with the guys.

Some other free agents are:
Barbosa, Ricky Davis, Luther Head, Mike Dunleavy, Al Jefferson, Anthony Parker, Erik Dampier, Danny Granger, Stephan Jackson, etc. Any advice?

PS - Its a total points league, not head-to-head

Thanks!

Good thing dropping Patterson for Harrington. By the way, how many teams are in your league, for a player like Harrington to be a free agent? Just asking...
Anyway, Kirilenko can't do anything but block this year, so drop him for Collison, who has had 3 double-doubles in his last 4 games. Then, drop Rasheed Wallace and pick up Jackson. Then, if you want, pick up Granger for Gooden. Those guys get more points, and wallace isn't a starter anymore, so...

Good move dumping Patterson for Harrington. It looks like you could use another rebounder and I would dump Walton for Al Jefferson, he is finally getting big minutes and is producing. Dont drop Kirilenko, he has been off so far but has a history of producing so it is worth waiting at least until after the All-Star break to see if he starts picking up the pace.

Dunno how many, if any, changes you've made since posting your question. Will hope/assume the following:

1) that you did the RPatt for AlHarr free agent pickup.
Reuben gives great FG%, but Al plays like a guard w/ 3's and steals.

2) that you have not dropped Sheed. Yes, he's something of a head-case, but he's, off-and-on, a top-25 player in 9-cat leagues. He's back in the starting lineup, and CWebb could rejuvenate that team. You should be able to trade him, if you really need to pick up ground in a given category; but, Sheed gives you points, rebounds, decent FG% and blox. You should have five to seven such players on your roster. And, when he starts knockin down the 3's, you count 'em as gravy.

3) Earl's worth keeping til CPaul gets back. Then you can drop him for Leandro. Boykins will kill your FG% temporarily, but more than make up for it in 3's, FT%, steals and assists. His points should be good as long as the Bucks are short-handed.

4) You haven't dropped AK-47. You neeeeed his blocks. Diaw, on the other hand, is playing like a 10th round draft pick, or worse, over the past month. He plays more like a guard anyway, like Reuben. Low rebounds, low blocks, plenty o'dimes. Trade him. You might be able to get a Ben Wallace or Shaq for him. Look for somebody who needs help w/FG% and assists and snag their best PF,C. But, Nick Collison and Al Jefferson are hot right now, so don't feel bad if you did that.

5) Make your lineup look like this:
Five "big men" who can get you at least 10 points, 7 rebounds, FG% of .467 or better, and blocks, blocks, blocks.
Five "guards" who can get you 3's, steals, FT% of .770 or better, and (from at least 3 of those guards) assists, assists, assists.
Then three more guys on the bench who can cover for injury.
Oh, and you can't count Kidd's rebounds, for instance, if he's one of your "guards." They're the gravy that'll win your league.

Because you've got 'Melo, you can probably skimp on some of the other cats a bit and emphasize scoring instead. You're probably not in a real deep league, so avoid the Golden State / Indiana players until the dust settles out their lineups.

-Regards

Dropping Patterson for Al Harrington is a good move/right decision.

Stay with Kirilenko since he can provide you big nos. anytime and he has the capability to bounce back.

I would suggest to drop boykins since he wont contribute much when Mo returns in 2 weeks. Drop boykins and pick up barbosa, because barbosa can guarantee his productions 'til the end of the season unllike boykins. I think your line up need consistent 3s support.

I play in a few leagues. I have Rubio and Conley and Chandler on my groups. I might drop Gallinari considering he's harm and is also out for a while. Your top pickup might be Rubio considering of his Assists, Points, and Shooting Percentages. I have dropped Curry considering he used to be damage susceptible. I see he's now again, however now not generating very good on the second. I nonetheless might take Rubio over Curry. You would desire to drop a PG for a PG. Since you could have three Centers, I might choose up Chandler and drop Cousins. Chandler will get a ton of rebounds and assists. Just my opinion. Good success on your season.
