When I bought my house, the former owner told me that although the garage is filled with cockroaches, they would move out as soon as they could find a new place to live. That was well over a year ago. I tried adding a bunch more cockroaches but that didn't work. I am running out of ideas. Should I add more cockroaches??

The same thing happened to me. I had to find them a place to live, and pay their security deposit on their new apartment. I added more cockroaches, too, and the cops kept coming to my house for noise complaints. So, find them an apartment, and pay their security deposit... also, you might have to put it in your name, since roaches usually have bad credit.

"they would move out as soon as they could find a place to live."...the former owner told you that and you believed him? Were they waiting for a new copy of The Roach Times? Would they use tiny little U-hauls? Add more cockroaches? Man...you're a real gem. Ever think of an exterminator???

They love damp, dark areas. They also love card board. Do your best to get rid of boxes. Call an exterminator. If you would rather do it yourself, be sure to spray the interior and exterior as well. You will more than likely have to keep it up for a while. If they are in the garage, more than likely they are in the walls and in the house. I would put bug bombs off myself. Good luck!

Get one of those bug bombs for cockroaches and do your whole house. Be sure to remove any pets while you do it. You must do the whole house or they will just move around to a place you don't use the bomb. You don't want them in the rest of your house.

Do NOT add more cockroaches. Instead, try throwing a bunch of carpet beetles in there. Or maybe a big mess of termites.

I am confused as to why you would add more cockroaches. You could try Boric Acid. That tends to work well in the removal of them.

Boric acid, it is very effective when used properly for killing cockroaches and most other insects. You can also get a house lizard, they are natural enemies and will eat them. More information at http://tinyurl.com/ofxkk
