I am certain that if anyone thought long enough on this question the answer would be a definite yes. I only wish that the question was more specific, as to what genre of sacrifice.

Career for marraige, life for country, Choice between the two involved in a 3 way romance, etc.

Yes! I will answer yes. I have sacrificed. Time in honorable service to this nation, my marraige for betrayal, paid for college tuition and good paying job to move out of state for someone, my dog when I couldnot have a pet in an apartment complex...I could go on. I just wish that we people answering knew the depth and to what extent you want us to qualify.

Oh, and I didnot sacrifice, as sacrificing its life, my dog that is. I, merely, let him live with my parents.

Well, if Separation from my husband counts....I sacrificed my daughters "happy little family"...which is always heartbreaking to see. She didn`t know what the heck was going on then. Now it`s alright, I still feel guilty for taking her away from her Daddy (whom she loves a lot!) but I had to get out of there, it would not have worked out. Now I am with someone who would do anything for us and puts family first!
I think Sacrifices are necessary if you want to move on with your life, just like every Action has a Reaction (whether it happens right away or years later)

Of course I have. That is part of life- self sacrifice, learning to do and go without but also not being bitter about the past, which allows me to move forward. I'm being a bit philosophical.

My peace of mind. When my mother was dieing, the information that the doctor was giving us was too much for my father to handle. So I took the responsibility of hearing all the nasty details of her sickness and progression towards death. I told my Dad and my younger sister nothing of the information that I was being given to protect them from internal pain and long term anguish. I'm the one who has to live with the memories and the nightmares and yet move on with my life. That was my sacrifice.

Yes. My children who are grown now. I love them very much, but to move on and keep on going, I can't worry about them all the time. I can
only let them know that I love them,
give some advice and keep on.
