Definition is everything. If the trees are healthy, full of needles and HUGE as you say, then you would want to contact "estate landscapers", building contractors or a local college that offers a horticulture program. Nursery's and garden centers are in the business of making money and probably wouldn't pay enough, and bother with the labor cost involved in digging up your yard. Make sure they don't destroy any underground electric/plumbing or gas lines. Check with your insurance agent to see who is responsible should damage occur. Good luck.

Selling Pine Trees

It depends on what huge is, over 30 ft usually cannot be moved very far. Sometimes a perfect specimine will be able to be moved with a crane and a lot of work.

Under 30 ft, if they can back a big tree spade in, and there are no UG utilities you may find a tree moving service that will do it for free. Here it coast around $800 here to move a large tree on the same site.

Like said bove it will tear up the yard if they have to manuver the truck to bak up to it.

As for timber value, no major sawmill will buy logs out of a yard, and 3-5 trees, the extraction cost would exceed the timber value. The bigges mill in my area will not come out for less then 8 standing acres.

If you cannot get them moved, your best bet is to ask tree companies for a bid leaving the wood so you can cut it up for outdoor fires.

Probably not gonna find anyone for that. You could probably talk your local lumber company into buying the timber from some acreage, but if they have teams out working to get a nearby forest cut down or if they contract that out and just have it delivered, either way they probably wont send out guys to take out 3-5 trees, especially out of your backyard - if your house is in the city this could prove to be next to impossible to do and still keep them in a desirable length. You might have some success if you cut them down yourself and took them to your local lumber company.
I could be wrong on this though. Call your local lumber company they can tell ya what you're options might be.
Good luck, hope this helps!!!

Locate a contractor that installs large trees. He will have a large truck with a large tree spade. He may buy them or have a customer he can sell them to. Check yellow pages for the tree service. Also, ask several certified arborists they may know of such a contractor.

You can box them pine needles up and sell them on e bay..10 pounds go for about 15.00 plus shipping..You have to clean them good as far as getting any small limbs or leaves out of them...the grass as mentioned..is trying to grow on a soil that is very high in acid from the years of the needles composting...Alot of people that do not have pine trees in thier area buy these needles online and have them shipped to them for mulch and borders.. Bag them up and sell them..

Contact a logging company or a timber cruiser. Be prepared for MAJOR damage to your yard when the trees are removed.

1st contact a local nursery or nurseries and ask them. They get calls all the time for large trees but they usually do not have large ones. They may sell them for you.
2nd contact a few builders of large homes. Their customers sometimes look for large, grown trees for that "instant" look.
