i want to buy this phone, but i only want it for music, the camera, and emergency calls to the police. i do not want a plan of any type, but i experimented before bidding with my current cell on another network, i took out the SIM card, and the phone wouldnt do anything...im worried that i will not be able to access the chocolate's music library or camera if i do not have service. please help, im confused.

Do you have an old sim card from another phone that is inactive? or maybe you have a friend who has an old, unused phone with a sim card? I'd try one of those to see if you can get your current phone to at least power up even if you dont have service. If you can do that then I think you might be able to do it for the chocolate phone also.

you can listen to music , take pics and flix without service. if your calling is limited, i suggest an inpulse prepay. verizon doesn't use SIM cards. you might not even need service to call the police, but i could be wrong. so worry no more.

im pretty sure..
if you get the phone.. clear of plan.. take it to the store and then you can by a plan for that phone
