I want to become an actress? Is it too late for me to act?
I want to become an actress, but I'm already 13 years old, I don't know how to sing, dance, or act, even though I had little acting parts in school plays and I took a few dance classes when I was young. I'm also extremly shy to strangers but sing and act when alone in private.I really want to become an actress (I've always dreamed being one)...but extroversion is not part of my personality. Also I don't have a lot of money to spend on classes because I already am spending money elsewhere. So can someone help me become like one of the thespians (theres a thespians troupe at my school but I don't fit in) and teach me how to become an actress?

am an aspiring actress too.and i can be sumtimes shy.13 is definately nt too old.classes can be expensive,i know but you can join the youth drama club in your area for free.you shud watch music vedios nd try to learn as much dance as you can.train your voice to sound confident,u don't ave to sing like beyonce to make it in showbiz.check on the internet for open auditions around your area.if you livein ireland or uk,u can try your luck at auditioning for harry potter.even if you don't get in,it will boost your confidence nd you will gain experience on auditioning so nxt time you can be bettter.good luck

Many actors (which includes actresses) are shy and use the performance on the stage to release them from that binding. Thespians in school is not a good comparison because, depending on the school, it is often a social group. Thirteen is not too old because basically an actor starts maturing after puberty. You should learn as much as you can of song and dance because a professional actor is expected to have voice and movement training even if musical performance is not a goal. Look for community theater and training at community colleges and recreation centers. You are going to have to decide how you want to spend your money. If you have limited amounts and elsewhere is not food and bed, then you may have to scronge or shift it.
