The morning after pill stops a fertilized ovum from implanting in the uterus.

The abortion bill causes the uterus to shed its lining, aborting whats growing there.

They are just about the same, the abortion pill flushes an already implanted, fertilized ovum out of the womb, therefore creating a mini abortion/miscarriage. The morning after pill if taken correctly and in time (that part can be "iffy" at best) prevents implantation of an already fertilized ovum in the first few hours of conception. Only problem with the "morning after pill" is that when it is taken the fertilized ovum may not have made it to the uterus in order to implant so all that will be flushed out of the womb will be the tissue accumlated and after the woman has a period the ovum can STILL implant. That is WHY when they were by prescription only a doctor would advise his patient to return in 6 to 8 weeks for a pregnancy test. Women are no longer advised that with it OTC and are finding themselves pregnant after taking the morning after pill because it didn't work. Keep in mind that while the abortion pill does IT's intended job 99% of the time the morning after pill is only 85% effect IF taken correctly. there is a pretty big difference between 99% effective and 85% effective.
And hayde dear you are wrong...the morning after pill does NOT prevent ovulation. Regular birth control prevents ovulation (or "postpones it") by regulating menses therefore preventing (in 99% of the cases) fertilization of an ovum.

The morning after pill (Plan B) is designed to stop ovulation from occuring. If taken in time, ovulation will be stopped and you will not get pregnant. If ovulation occurs before you take Plan B, you will likely get pregnant. There is a slight possibility that it may stop a fertilized egg from implanting in the lining of the uterus, but research shows that this is very unlikely.

RU-486 is not the same thing as Plan B. RU-486 will terminate a pregnancy. That is, if a fertilized egg is already implanted in the lining of the uterus, RU-486 will make your body shed that lining, and with it the embryo.

No, they are not. The morning after pill prevents implantation of the fertilized egg, and the RU-86 will actually abort an embryo that is already implanted.

the morning after pill only works up to 3 days after sex, but the ru pill works when you are pregnant. The morning after pill keeps you from getting pregnant and the ru pill terminates the pregnancy you already have.

I agree with you but I do know some people see life beginning at conception and they believe that happens straight away, I'm assuming anyway judging by some of the comments I've heard! I guess they dont realise that when the morning after pill is taken the sperm hasnt even reached the egg yet- normally anyway!!

The morning after pill prevents pregnancy, the abortion pill aborts the fertalized egg.

Whoever said "You need to get saved honey" is completely off their rocker. How do you know this isn't a married woman who isn't ready to have a child yet? And even if she's not married, who would respond positively to "You need to get saved honey"...pathetic.

If you don't want this baby don't let anyone guilt you into having it.

This is your life.

Call an abortion clinic and ask questions

The morning after pill is not an option for you, because you are asking about a type of pregnancy termination pill.
