I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE STARS ARE FOR. MAYBE SOME KIND OF POPULARITY CONTEST. I LIKE THE THUMBS

Definately. I used to get stars in grade school.

I say bring back the thumbs up and down.

They were much more honest and reminded me of how in the ancient Roman Empire the Caesar would give the thumbs up to let gladiators live, or a thumbs down for them to be executed.

Looks like Y!A has given in to political correctness like everyone else (even more so with all of the newly deleted questions than with the stars).

Disagree. Although maybe I can see compromise by leaving in the thumbs-up option while removing the thumbs-down. If something is offensive, that's what the report flag is for.

I wish I could give the old "thumbs down" to all questions about the "stars".

But for you, I'm making an exception...good question. You earned a star! :)

Man what do you expect? It has been over run by kids, and now kids have infiltrated the admin slots. So now when I am bad I wont get a violation notice, I will get a time out or get to sit in the corner.

Its like that board in preschool. Everytime you answer a question right you get a star next to your name. Good work children.
