It's not snowing in Denver, but we have had quite a bit of snow already this season. This weekend it didn't get above 15 degrees F, pretty cold for the season. But it will warm up above 30 F this weekend, which is around normal. Some parts of the US are still fairly mild. For example, Florida, it rarely gets very cold. Lately though, the states that generally stay warm, for instance parts of California and Texas, are getting freezing temperature. It is estimated that 75% of the citrus crop in California will be destroyed due to feezing temperatures this year. But then again California is such a huge state, so it's hard to generalize what you see as the temperature ranges greatly from north to south. Much of the east has been warmer than average so far this winter so far, but I hear thats soon to change.
You could go to weather.com if you want to see what the temperature is in different parts of the US.
The oddest part of this winter is not the cold, but the precipitation. Colorado has gotten a lot more snow than it typically sees (including 2 blizzards), and some places like the Northeast have barely seen a snow flake yet.

Yes, it is winter here, and it's unusually cold right now. Lots of snow and ice.
As far as general weather, it depends on where you are in the U.S.
Coastal areas are more moderate all year round. Inland, it gets really hot in the day and really cold at night.
Florida and other southern states are warmer year 'round. There is no snow in most of Southern California, for example, except in the mountains.
It's unusually chilly in Califonria right now. We just lost about a billion dollars worth of citrus fruit (oranges etc.) due to temperatures below freezing.
Wish we had a little bit of that global warming that supposedly is happening.

Considering winter weather normally comes the first of December for Michigan and we were 20 degrees above normal, yeah, we got used to the "nice" weather!
Michigan's temp is in the mid twenties but with the wind chill it feels more like the mid teens and that is with the sun shining!
We don't have near the snow we normally do (bummer, I wanted to go skiing).

I'm in Halifax, NS,Canada. We had about 2" of snow, the 1st Mon in Dec. It lasted 2 days. Up until yesterday it has been above freezing . It snowed again this Mon. and has been bitterly cold since. However It will be going up to about 42F with rain on Fri. This is strange weather for us.

Some of us in Georgia are hoping to get some snow tonight. It generally never snows here. Just three days ago the high for the day was 74, today it's 47. Not to bad right now.

I believe that we are experiencing what is called an arctic wind. The wind from Canada is swooping down on us, especially us here in Southern California. We are so spoiled here, that when it reaches 40 degrees F, we think it's freezing...so imagine how we felt when it got down to the 20's!!
Personally, I kind of like it. It needs to be something we appreciate because this year, our heat Wave is going to be even longer and hotter =[

Here in San Antonio, Tx it is frozen (we do not get this kind of weather) so everything is shut down.
I look outside and my trees are frozen.... Like I said, this is not normal for South central Texas!
