Why do you want to get rid off all information on a person you loved ? I just wonder what happens in the brain, why it turns so fast and so drastic ? And why do some people just lost the hope immediatly when they realize that the person they are in love with doesn't like them? I shouldnt give up that easy, or am I just an optimist :P Thanx for answer!

In life you can get anything you want or an item similar to it by working hard or being persistant. If you want a car all you have to do is maybe work overtime. If you want a hamburger you can go to the fast food place and buy it or make it yourself. We are what I call a "I want it and I want it now" society. The problem is that love simply does not work this way. No matter what you do you cannot make someone like you or love you. It is possible for someone to not like you at the beggining and then end up liking you but that is because the person in question changes his/her mind. Not because you made it so.
The people that you say lose hope when they find out that someone doesn't like them is because they know that there is very little hope to change things. It is very frustrating to live in a world where you can have anything you want except love.
The reason the person wants to get rid of all the information is because is a way of defending themselves at the subconsious level. What that person is doing is making it as if the person never existed. If something doesn't exist it can't hurt you. In other words, you hurted me so I'm going to make the hurt go away.

You are very optimistic and that is a good thing in terms of relationships because it goes to show how confident you are with yourself. Many people who forget those they loved because they cannot trust themselves nor believe in themselves to move on therefore, they rid themselves of the information to start anew not realizing that keeping the information will only help you make further decisions in life and in love!

Depends i guess if you still like them and they didnt do anything to you then i would keep it but if they were a jerk i would get rid of all contact so i wouldnt let myself go back out with him and be treated like that again so i guess it would just depend on what happened for me but its good to be optimistic so keep it up!

Generally, I have wanted to get rid of information on a person because I did not want to be reminded of them...the pain.
