When I got married, I had to pay for a lot of things for myself, so I wanted to save money, too. Or at least, not spend it on unnecessary things. I didn't buy flowers for the church (although, my mother-in-law ended up buying some). My point is, it is YOUR wedding, and you can do what you like. If you don't want flowers, then don't buy them. I even made all my own corsages and boutoneirres to give to special guests, in fact, I made all my own flowers except for my bouquet and the groom's boutoneirre. No matter how much money you spend, at the end of the day, you will still be husband and wife! Congratulations and Best Wishes!

You don't have to get flowers for the church. An alternative could be bows instead. There are many other alternatives you can try. I am sure that will be cheaper. If your chruch is just too big and you feel it will look empty with out the flowers then get one nice size flower arrangement. Place it at the alter. Then get bows and place them in the seating aisles towards the first five rows only.

You don't HAVE to have flowers in the church. Instead of flowers why not just have some huge white bows all around? It's alot cheaper and it will replace the flowers. Or if you really want flowers, why not talk to a florist and maybe they can suggest a cheap way for you to do it? Maybe SMALLER arrangements. Good Luck on your wedding.

No. Flowers are not a requirement at the church. It is a waste of money because as soon as the ceremony is over, you either take them and toss them, or let the church do what they want with them.

Don't need to have anything you don't want. You could talk to the pastor, sometimes the church will provide a little something as far as flowers.

When I got married the only flowers that we had were my bouquet, the bouquet for my maid of honor, and for the flower girls. I was on a tight budget and I saved a lot of money by making my bouqets myself. Good luck to you!

Nope, you don't have to have flowers in the church. I've been to lots of weddings where the only flowers were the bouquets.

it's your wedding if you don't want to then don't,but if you want to and you want to save money you can always go to the dollar store and get about $50-$100 worth of imitation flowers ,and then give them away to the mothers of the happy couple.

You don't have to have flowers...........most churches will already have flowers of some sort on the altar. If not, ivy is a nice touch too.
