Well first I have to say, that don't worry about embarrassment, the person you're going to is a professional (I hope) who does these all the time. There's nothing to be embarrassed about!

The most important thing to do is to relax. I know that since it's a week away you're feeling the nerves but once the waxing is over with you'll either be a waxing convert or know whether or not it's for you.

There is a lot of touching, but mostly it's pulling and tugging. The esthetician will be moving your hands to hold certain areas to ensure that when she removes the cloth and wax she does the most complete job. Even if you're sensitive to touch, I think you'll be concentrating more on hand placement and the one brief second before she removes the cloth that you won't have to worry about arousal.

There are many creams out there, but I would avoid using them, especially the first time. The esthetician should be properly cleaning the waxing area then usually applying baby powder or talc of some sort then the wax. Also some spas/salons may have similar creams or lotions out there and/or other solutions to prep the area, in which case any creams you put on yourself will either be removed during the cleaning or unnecessary.

Other than that, remember to relax. You'll be fine!

Good luck!

Oh, don't worry, your you know what is going to feel like it is on fire while you are getting it done.
You are not going to be thinking about how good it feels I promise.
The good news is that the treatment lasts for a long time and the hair grows back much finer so you may as well get a complete removal.
Personally I don't think that "landing strips" are attractive at all.
But it is worth it because it feels really good having it completely smooth down there :)

~BTW~ I thought after the first time that I would never get it done ever again but recently I did find out that the following treatments are much less painful for some reason.

Trust me, getting arroused while having this done is going to be the farthest thing from your mind. It hurts like hell the first time you have it done. If you can get this stuff called coochie cream it works against razor bumps and prevents ingrown hairs which occur from having waxing done in certain areas.

Just think that this person is about to pour really hot wax on your nether regions and rip it off with flimsy cloth strips.

I wouldn't worry about becoming aroused because Brazilian waxing hurts like nothing else.
