I really don't think there is no one here that would put any faith in someone from 2000 years ago to perform surgery or dentisry on them or teach them math chemistry, physics, biology, or physcology, sociology, anthropology, the list could go on and on.

Here is my question? if we look at these men as backwards when it comes to the knowledge and principles of today, why would you put your faith into these same men in their explanation in the meaning of life and the origin of man.

For those that will answer because god explain it do them , I would like a response with a little more though than that please.

Asking why something is the way it is is asking for a rational answer. By definition faith, and therefore religion, does not call for any reasons to believe something and therefore doesn't need or want to explain itself.

Faith is easy. It requires no thought, no facts, no testing against reality. Reason takes an effort. It requires learning, cross checking against other facts, time and effort. Reason admits to the possibility of being wrong and the need to change if future knowledge shows that your current assumptions were incomplete or flawed in some way.

And by the way...the answer is 42

It isn't faith in characters, rather faith in God.

If you don't have a relationship with him then no words can explain it to you.

If you really want to know the answer to the question you are trying to ask - read the Bible and accept Jesus Christ into your life. Then and only then will you understand.

There are things even science cannot fully explain and there are also things such as THEORIES within science that exist because they have not been proven.

While we've made great advances in the understanding of how things are, we don't necessarily understand WHY or who set up the parameters within which scientific discovery operates.

well, surgery and god have little in common, and another problem with the statement is that there really is nothing there that relates to religion.

all the examples you gave were just man made creations and findings, in 100 years people are going to look at us and say"man they didnt have anything back then"

but they will still trust in Jesus to save and bring them to heaven for the simple reason that no one or anything we make can do that for us

I think that the world is so messed up that people need to have faith in something or somebody to keep on going.
It is really sad that we arrived up to this point to be able to continue our lives.

Some people just need something to look up too. Don't expect a ration explanation from them. It's entirely irrational.
