having a speeding violation isn't enough to prevent you from coming into the us, it's what you did that caused you to be speeding that might get you. But if it's nothing major then I wouldn't worry about it. You should be fine.

If they gave you a tourist visa, I don't think they care if you have a criminal record for speeding. However, if you plan on driving over there they will demand that you purchase gobs and gobs of auto insurance.

For speeding? That's not a big deal at all. They won't turn you away because you have a speeding ticket. That's something everyone gets at least once in their life. It's if you were like a drug dealer or something else worse that they might turn you away.

Speeding? Normally they just fine you don't they? You'd have to be going pretty fast (or have actually hurt someone) to be charged criminally.

I seriously doubt the people at the consulate care.

Speeding isn't that big of a deal here in the US. We have MILLIONS of idiots on our roads, so just try to out run them! LOL. Shouldn't be a problem.
