I just got an xbox 360 for christmas I was kind of upset this game wasn't out for christmas so when it did come out I bought it straight away. Its an awesome game the graphics are great without a hd tv and the boss levels are all masterpieces.
Im on level 4 at the moment where Im stuck in the battle with the giant mosqitoe at the end but I must have spent about 3 hours on it which does confirm how long the levels are.I spent a long time on mission 3 before I figured out you werent supposed to kill the giant worm and proceeded to the nevec base(I wont say anymore since your on that mission).

The bosses are great, multiplayer is good, but the game is just too short and repetative late in the game. The missions are long because they aren't that fun, just a lot of the same, but there are a few good parts. I liked the bosses the best, but I should have just rented it. I beat it twice, not that hard.

PS - you don't have to fight the worm...

It's an OK game, but I liked GOW better. Some of the missions are long (like 30 minutes easily), but others can be breezed through a lot faster.

I beat the game over the weekend, so I was glad I rented instead of purchasing it.

This game was definitely a letdown (singleplayer only) in my opinion. The multiplayer is fantastic and very realistic (with the human guns, in the fact that you can't shoot while your getting shot). Chio has replied to every thread about Lost Planet and all he has to say is "I liked Gears of War better". Unless you love repetitive games (Gears of War) than this game (Lost Planet) seems very good to you. I love this game, especially online. I'll give you EVERY single Gears of War round summed up in a couple words.
RUSH for power weapons.
IF you get them, camp and wait for people to walk by
IF you don't get them, camp so you don't die
IF your team dies, camp
Here's my overview of 1 round. Rush, Camp, Die, Over.

It's great, but I'm stuck on one part fighting a boss at the top of a mountain(not sure what level...maybe level 3 or 4) It's really starting to piss me off, I get so close to beating it and then it kills me.

my own opinion, i performed the two and that i think of the 360 is larger, it purely runs better and that i like the 360 controller, yet it is my next element, it fairly is all gonna fairly come right down to which controller suites you better.

Indeed an insanely wonderful game...highly recommended. I have the collectors ed. but haven't opened it yet. The demo is outstanding...enjoy.
