Do people tip you for doing your job?

Only tip them if they have done a good job and have been courteous and professional.
I think tips should only be given when your expectations of service have been exceeded.
As for how much, that depends on how much you can afford and what you feel your service has been worth.
If they were crap make them a cuppa with sour milk.
If they were amazing give them as much as you want.
There should be no expectations from the removal men, they do get paid decent wages.
Don't loose any sleep over it.

Personally, no. They get paid well enough, and the company will charge enough for their services.

Also, if you go down the route of tipping a tenner, that doesnt go far between 4 or 5 guys, so do you then start thinking about tipping them all a tenner each? It starts to get a bit silly....

if they're moving a house for you, the contractor is already payin them for their work, and probably very well.

when they're done, get them some beer (ask their preference) and get some pizza for them... it's not a tip, but it is a thank you for the work.

I'm in the construction field, and this does stand out. (so do tips, but they are not common).

Only tip them if they dont break anything and put everything in the rooms where you want it.

You should give them a tenner each and a case of beer/larger

They're bound to break something or crack it and you'll notice it months later. So no don't tip them. Don't tip anyone actually

If I were you I'd focus on offering them plenty of cups of tea & biscuits while they are moving all your valuable possesions (no alcohol though!) and don't rush them.
