hi, well there's a myriad of things one can visit and do in Malta! I am from Malta myself. The people are fantastic (like me) :P and we are famous for our warm hospitaity. Almost all maltese speak and understand english very well. You've got to visit the Valletta, the capital city which has loads of interesting places and Mdina which used to be the old capital, then Gozo which is Malta's sister island, ferry is very cheap, Comino another island is fantastic with its blue waters in blue lagoon however it is visitable mainly in summer, u can take a buffet-party-swim-boat trip to comino. The neolithic temples - Mnajdra, Hagar Qim, Ggantija, Tarxien Temples, Hypogeum (an underground temple unique in the world) are a MUST! they are possibly the oldest structures in the world and date prior to the pyramids of egypt! Sliema, St. Julians and whereabouts are full of shops restaurants typical tourist areas. Paceville is the nightlife hub where u can access discos-pubs-clubs for free, its packed on fridays saturdays and at times wednesdays. U can find also a number of beaches in good condition. You don't have to worry because malta is a very small country 1hr from side to side and u can get around by our typical yellow buses which are very cheap. Maltese people in general are very helpful and the best way to get going is by asking the locals.

Anyways I tried to be objective as much as i could :P

ENJOY IT!!

It is amazing in its own right. Quite good value. Buses are so cheap. It is very and I mean very hot in the height of its season. Your ice cream will melt in seconds. Deeply religious people. The kids go to church school after normal school hours. Proud people. It is not wise to disrespect the females there. Holes in the roads everywhere because of the baking sun.. It is a must you go to Popeye Village. The film Popeye was filmed there and the whole film set is now a major tourist attraction. It only cost a couple of pounds to get in. Hardly ever rains there. The food is fantastic. Tomatoes are huge and fresh fruit is everywhere. Booze and tobacco are cheap. Plenty of lace stuff, silver and gold souvenirs. The Silent City is an incredible place. The Castles and history of the place is amazing. Don't expect the older locals to speak English. Taxis are really very Expensive. The sea is beautiful and clean but there are not many sandy beaches. The ones they do have are lovely. No smoking in the bars. They go mental if you break that rule. Traffic laws, they are few and far beteween. Be careful crossing the road. They do drive fast. Lots of Brits live there. No Rock venues or bands. Live entertainment is not in abundance. No English TV except BBC news. Make sure you wear a shirt in restaurants and on the buses. They see it as a sign of disrespect if you don't. There are hundreds of Time Share sellers on the street. They get around £15-00 for everyone they put in a taxi and send to very pushy salespeople. They will tell you that you have won the major prize and all you have to do is attend a meeting for a couple of hours to claim it. Don't go with them. If you want to buy in Malta go to a reputable agents office.

December isn't an truly good month for vacations in Malta, yet no longer so undesirable both. properly, somewhat warmth 17-20 C, it´s raining from time to time, gray days! I don´t recommend a visit to Malta in December. Visited Malta on the top of March, perchance a touch bit too warmth then, even though it became large, Malta is a desirable island with a desirable heritage. Wait till January, February, March, in case you want to appreciate warmth climate, warmth sea water and in case you perchance like diving. In April it´s taking off to be very warm and many go back and forth agencies provide up arranging travels to Malta. besides Malta is an truly positive position, the natives are positive in a polite type of way. The Maltese have 2 community languages, English and a language that it´s like a mixture of Arabic and Italian. in case you want to party a lot then don´t bypass. Malta is somewhat expensive. Malta will change it´s overseas money to euros Jan. 1st 2008! perchance perfect to stay at living house in December, yet there are for sure different good vacationer resorts, case in factor Thailand. It´s a stunning usa, warmth, very, very positive human beings and intensely less costly compared to many ecu vacationer places.

Loads... I've been there lots of times. You have to see Valetta, the capital city. Take a trip to Gozo to see the inland sea and the glass blowing, (give Comino a miss if I were you), visit the Mosta Dome. You need to take a trip to the Blue Grotto and you will see some beautiful caves etc. Popeye Village (if you like that sort of thing) there is a lovely shallow beach at Melliha Bay. A fishing village Marsashloxx (apologies if not spelt right).

There are lots of tours to take if you find an independant tour company. Look out for the night time festas too, there are loads of those tobe seen. Hope this helps!

Go to Mdina and Rabat, go to the catacombs, go to Hagar Qim, the megalithic monuments, also go to the blue lagoon by boat, if you are there in the summer you can swim, of course go around Valetta, and also the nearby island Gozo is nice. It was supposedly the island of Calypso, where Ulysses stayed for some years.
