That's completely up to you (and the baby's daddy if he's there). I had my and hubby's family with me during labor, but not during delivery. But right after delivery we let them back in. Also, you may want to check with your ob...some have different rules.

I think it all depends on how comfortable you are. I was a bit of a germ-a-phob. So I only had a couple (couple being 2-3) visitors at a time. I also didn't like people holding my baby and standing, walking, anything but sitting. But I know other people who are just fine having the whole family come over at the same time.

A long time you don;t want others coming in contact with the baby too soon because it could make them sick. There immune system isn't as strong as ours so a little cough could harm a baby. But if you insist try to keep sick people from touching the baby. also have everyone wash there hands in warm water for a least a minute before they touch the baby. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It depends on how mom and baby are doing. If all went well and Mom is up to visitors you can have people come right away. The hospital doesn't usually restrict visitors unless there is a problem.

it depends on you when do YOU want people over it's your choice. Unless the baby is sick or you don't feel well then dont have people over. It depends on you what do YOU want?
