I live in New England, and was wondering if grass grew in the winter.

Bermuda does not grow in the winter, like a squirrel it goes into hibernation or dormat for the entire season.

If you lived on the West coast, then right now in the snow your lawn would be green. Wheat grass a popular wide blade lawn type is a slow grower during the winter months, the nice thing is its green all year long!

Yes to answer your question. grass does grow in winter. you have the sun and rain there. when it is rainning, the grass is getting wet. When the sun come out again it hits the grass making it grow.

Here in Texas we use a winter grass called rye grass. I'm not familiar with your area though.
