horrible pain for 1 week in order to never feel pain again?

No way....pain is important because you have to have a balance. If there is no pain, there is also no joy, at least on this earth.

If it would truly mean an absolute pain free life, I would. But then again, pain is important in life... it lets you know you are not dead!

interesting...i might say yes ifthe pain was emotional pain. but when i say i wouldnt want to feel it again, it would have to be because my life was happy, not just that bad thigs happened and i was too numb to feel anything.
would probably say no for physical pain. its all in moderation anyway

Yes I might would do that as long as it wasn't labor pains.....Some pain I could do without. Heartbreak for one.
