Some womans periods can become irregular. My sister had a period for over a month. There is nothing wrong with this i dont think as when i started i had irregular periods, i would have a period that was heavy for 7days then i would come off and 12-14days later i would have another one. Some woman can go months without a period then when they do come on its only for 2-3 days. Go to the doctors and they will give you a pill that you will take everyday for 21days then let yourself have a period then start taking the pills again, this should start to regulate your periods.

Sorry its not normal (or very common) I used to suffer with the same problem when i was younger. I went to see the doctor who put me on the pill with time this eventually made my periods regular (which they were anyway) but this made them last only a few days. Speak to your doctor. It wasnt a big problem but it was one that was easily resolved.

god no, you must be worn out, your period shouldn't last more than 5-7 days max. If you are bleeding for two weeks, you are serious risk of getting run down; what happens is that your blood count will drop, making it more difficult for your blood to clot, so making it likely that you will bleed more. Go to your doc; tell him or her that you would like a full blood count, and maybe your hormone levels need checking.
If you are young this heavy bleeding is easy to treat, don't waste a minute.

Yess this is completly normal, your period will start to get lighter and go on for a few days instead of a few weeks! gentle excercise sometimes helps or a hot water bottle as sometimes when your on a heavy period you get cramp in your stomach really bad. hope it helped!

If I understood your question correctly, a period that lasts "4 2" weeks is very, very abnormal...

You need to talk to your doctor and see what he says. It doesn't seem normal, because they usually las 3 days to a week....So you need to talk to him and he might have to do test.

It can be, esp. if you started very young. I started at about age 10 and a half, and my periods were very painful at first, and lasted about 10 days. I recommend you see your dr. and talk to them, you may have a hormonal imbalance that can be corrected, esp. if your periods are painful.
