Hi, I am working on a term paper for developmental psychology. Right now I am trying to come up with a topic, we can pick almost anything that we want. It has to do with development of the human obviously, and it has to be answering a question of some sort. My major is psychology and I am interested in the future in working with genetic disorders. So, I am trying to come up with a question that I can find research on and write a term paper on. Any ideas would be appreciated. thanks!

Try writing about the growing idea that depression (and therefore suicide) may have a genetic link. Studies have been done in families where there are multiple suicides or attempts and the genetic predisposition in such families

Why don't you write about autism. It's recently been becoming a big issue in psychology. It is also very interesting. You can research how children, teenagers, and adults with autism can work to resolve their issues with textiles, social interactions, and other behaviors that people regard as abnormal. Good luck with your term paper, and your future as a psychologist.
