I used to get baby turtles every year, and mine always ate plants whether they were alive or dead.

Yes, they love them! A lot of land turtles are herbivores, but most aquatic turtles are omnivores, and love to munch on plants. I don't really know what kind of turtle you are asking about, but I would say the answer for all turtles would be yes.

absolutely! The older the turtle gets, the more they want plants. Babies will eat plants, but need more protien as they grow. It is always best to offer veggies or live plants every other feeding at least for babies, more for adults.

the easiest aquatic plant to feed is Elodea. This is also commonly called Anachris or Canadian Pond Weed. You can get this at all pet stores, most call it Elodea. However, you can get it at PetSmart under the name Anachris for $2.19 a bunch.

My turtles will go through about 6 bunches of Elodea every week if I let them.
