Well, if you have ever seen the route your letter takes from the time you put it in the mail box until it arrives at the destination, it could happen. Thankfully, most PO personnel take pride in their work to make sure it gets there. (Those who don't care are the ones you read about in the paper and see on the news that are shooting the good ones.) LOL (Just kidding folks, don't go postal on me now.)

It seldon gets lost, but may be delayed. For example, I mailed a package to Virginia. A week later I found it in CA, and it got to VA three weeks late. I hear mail from WWII still shows up.

i think 1%..every year the psot office has an accounting firm to test th system........results published every year.....call them or google it for the actual details....
