Why are days and nights brighter on snowy days? Is it cause the snow and clouds reflect light back and forth?

Pretty much, you're seeing the lights on the surface reflecting off of the ice crystals that are inside the clouds, thus making them brighter.

yes, the colour white reflects light, while black absorbs it. so the light is reflecting off the ground. you know it as glare
