My cousin borrowed a set of hand trucks 4 months ago from us and hasn't drove the 3 miles to our house to return them. Here is the copy of the email I sent Monday to him.

Dear Cousin,
We really need the hand trucks back. I don't have time this week to get over there and get them during the day. Is there anyway you can leave them outside for my husband to grab on his way home around 7 PM. Just let me know what day you will leave them out. Thanks.

Reply:
It is on the back porch. It has been there the whole time since we moved in that day. I don’t even know how to get to your house to return it, but I have been so busy that it is the last thing on my mind. Sorry for the inconvience.

What would you assume
1) Come and get them
2) I will bring them to you
3) I am keeping them
4) Other

I will post the next reply after I get a few answers. This is an internet savy person and they use mapquest a lot and have our address. Give me your opinions, come back look at reply

Dear Cousin,
My husband will stop tonight between 6-7 and get them, I need them to move my washer and dryer out.

Reply:
I do not recall giving you permission to enter my house. I would have assumed that you would have ringed the doorbell and I would have gladly given you the cart. I was home all night and noticed the cart gone when letting the dogs out at 1 am this morning. It is illegal to enter someone’s home uninvited. We changed our fence so that no one would enter our back yard. This is extremely disturbing to me, especially since you kept the key to my house. Next time PLEASE ring the door bell or I will call the POLICE.

Please note my husband rang the doorbell and knocked, lazy cousin wouldn't get off the couch and answer the door. The 3 large dogs came to the door barking. The hand trucks were out on the porch so he took them home with him. They were ours anyways. WE are good church going people and wouldn't steal any of his junk. What is the deal with his reply?

We waited because they were moving into a new house and we weren't sure if they were through with them yet. Trying to move new furniture around etc. We tried to get them on Thanksgiving and Christmas but they refused to celebrate with anyone because of the new house.

Here was my response. This was the last straw after several other runs in with him.

First off go to H&@% for being such an a hole!!!!!!! You need to grow up and act your own age. My husband rang the doorbell and knocked several times, the dogs came to the door but you stayed in the living room. If you doubt that he rang the doorbell you are more than welcome to call him a liar to his face. As far as your house key I mailed it to you registered mail and have the signed receipt when you received it. I told you when he would be there and you stated they were on the back porch. Move back to Florida because you aren't welcomed here anymore.

You now have your hand trucks back. Return their house key to them or mail it "Certified, return receipt requested." These are wacky, unreasonable people who don't know how to interact with consideration with family members or anyone else, probably. Do you really want to have a relationship with them after this? I think they have revealed their character.
Say, "Bye!"

More times than not, the person you are sending has an email blocker on. If they are someone that wishes to reply to you, they need to add you to their buddies list so the email will come through. If you are just upset that nobody is responding and they have no intention of responding, that's what they are doing. Ignoring you.

well i think your cousin is a a** (sorry) but he wasrude and disrespectful to you and your husband he should have returned them as soon as he was one with them and thanked you your husband had every right to take what was his and since they were on the porch he didnt really break in so your cousin really wouldnt have a case on that next time your cousin wants to borrow something from you tell no way after the way he acted

It sounds like he wanted to keep them and he was upset because you came and got them. It was YOUR property so I wouldn't worry about it. You had every right to go get it since you asked HIM to bring them but he reefused. You told him you needed them and offered to pick them up more then once. I wouldn't lend him anything else in the future. You did the right thing. He will get over it!

I agree # 1 I think that they have just been too busy to try and get the directions to you house. If you really needed them why did you wait so long to contact them?

# 1. Also either a very "rude" person or tried to give a reply to your email that they interpreted as rude. Hard too figure how a person takes things especially when it's in written form. Why didn't you just phone? Emails are sort of a formal way to communicate especially if they have a phone.

They are obviously not going to bring them to you. I'd be ticked! But anyway, it just sounds like they're saying, they're on the back porch, come get them any time.
