The king of love poems = Lord Byron....
Not only did he write some hot sonnets, but he got laid a lot, back in the day, despite his messed up foot and his weird longing for his 1/2 sister....

"I can never get people to understand that poetry is the expression of excited passion, and that there is no such thing as a life of passion any more than a continuous earthquake, or an eternal fever. Besides, who would ever shave themselves in such a state?" Lord Byron, in a letter to Thomas Moore, 5 July 1821

I Love Thee by Eliza Acton.

I love thee, as I love the calm
Of sweet, star-lighted hours!
I love thee, as I love the balm
Of early jes'mine flow'rs.

I love thee, as I love the last
Rich smile of fading day,
Which lingereth, like the look we cast,
On rapture pass'd away....Etc.
