I was always treated like an outsider as a child. A little within the family but mostly by the other children. Somewhere around my early teens I actually saw the benefit in this. I didn't have to follow trends, I had no peer pressure, and I was never expected to be like my brothers and sisters. Still being treated as an outsider as an adult, I have total freedom to be who and what I want, which is something that I value. I flipped the script on 'em!

I am wiccan
The world views me as either a tree hugger or a satan worshiper.
And neither of those are true

AND

I am a juggalette,
I listen to ICP, Twiztid, Blaze Ya dead homie, all those psycopathic artists.
So now I am a satanic tree hugging delinquent.

But yet NONE of these qualities is even REMOTELY true

except the delinquent, lol

but you know, I think I would much rather be an outsider, that on the inside. It's so mead and scandolus inside there. I like being outcasted with the rest of my Juggalo family.

I'm nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there's a pair of us -don't tell!
They'd banish us, you know.

How dreary to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!

Mostly anyone who is of a minority race & identifies with an alternative sexuality has expeirenced this. It's a very sad and lonely feeling, but only if u let it get to you like that. I'm a Black & Puerto Rican lesbian so i could get stereotyped and shut out socially by many, but i take so many steps to give & demand respect that not too many actually cross me like that. Either you like me and i treat u with the utmost respect or u dont like me and i say ***** you have a nice day.

What an undesirable position this relations have placed you in! Like they say, you could opt for your associates yet no longer your relatives or in-guidelines! i do not imagine it truly is ideal they are so close to to this lady yet i wager they do have a historic past at the same time with her (i'm assuming your boyfriend became married to her for it sluggish?). by no longer inviting you to the relations function even as she became present day, they were perchance attempting to maintain your thoughts yet i visit understand you feeling like an interloper. i'd in no way opt for to befriend this ex if i became on your position. I believe the first poster, start up your own traditions on your own residence and invite lots of your close pals for backup. only regard your blood relations and close pals as your 'authentic relations' and save the in-guidelines at hands length. in case your boyfriend desires to advance the challenge so that you're all closer then i imagine it truly is as a lot as him to step in, take care of you and insist they have extra understand for you and educate extra tact even as handling his previous relationships.

Any minority knows. When I was in Spain I was certainly an outsider. "Tortilla face" was quite common. Or how about not being Christian in the US?

I don't really care much, so it doesn't feel like much of anything.

It can be upsetting, but it's as simple as this.......... " Those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind" ..... So don't worry about the people who treat you that way
