I feel like I'd probably like World of Warcraft. But I know there are so many expansion packs and whatnot now that I'm not sure where I should start. What should someone starting out in WoW have, you think? Would just the basic game be okay? How much is the monthly fee?

The basic game would be ok. When you start to know the game, then get the Burning Crusade expansion pack. When you're starting WoW, you just need to know the basics. Go to Worldofwarcraft.com and you can find everything you need to know about WoW there. You don't have to pay every month anymore like you used to. Just type in your credit card number, and instead of paying every month, Blizzard takes the money out of your card. The cost is about $14.99 every month. I hope this helps =D

Ok well start off by buying just World of Warcraft and just this past tuesday The burning Crusade came out which adds another continent and gives each faction a new class and race. The monthly fee is $15 a month. Well i played the game for about 2 years on and off and my account was worth about $500 its a fun game, you just meet all kinds of weird and pretty much freakish people

I believe it is $15.99 a month to play and if you're just starting out you only need the basic game, but you will definitely want to get the Burning Crusade expansion pack before too long.

So you can go to www.worldofwarcraft.com and download a 10 day free trail. If you enjoy the trail version you can go buy the game from a retailer. You really don't need the expansion until you get to a higher level. You should be able to figure out if you like the game by then. I play on Shu'Halo with a character named evolu.
