Wax your eyebrows, take care of your skin, and bleach your teeth. This is a face makeover without makeup.

First of all, keep your face clean by using a gentle soap like Dove or similar. A natural-based moisturising cream is good to protect your skin.
Drink plenty of water, this helps hydrate from the inside, and eliminates toxins in your bloodstream, which affects your skin.
Eat a healthy balanced diet with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables; the vitamins and antioxidants help your skin.
Avoid alcohol and caffiene which dehydrate the skin and also stimulate spots.
Get plenty of exercise, which will help your circulation, and enough rest and sleep.
A positive attitude will put a sparkle in your eye that no makeup can enhance! Cultivate your sense of humour and also self-confidence...if you know you're beautiful everyone else will too.

It sounds more like a inner image issue. I mean, it doesn't sound like you have low self-esteem, but I know what you mean about wanting to break the cycle of dependence. First of all, you could try looking in the mirror and pointing out all the positives. For example, I know a lot of people who would love to have beautiful, wavy brown hair. Or, maybe you have beautifully tan skin. Or, maybe you have a beautiful shade of brown eyes. I would definitely start making a list of all the beautiful features about yourself (not just on the outside, but inside as well) to help boost your confidence about leaving the house without mascara. Make this list, and then repeat a few of the things on the list a few times before going out. I mean, think of all the other people who go outside without mascara, lipstick, or any makeup. Makeup can be a handy friend, but never an obsession because nothing can replace the beauty of self-confidence. Trust me, I've seen ladies who are very beautiful but who couldn't attract a guy withing a few feet of her b/c of lack of confidence whereas I have other friends who are a little more plain looking who attract men due to their confidence and courage to approach them. So, think of all the great qualities about yourself without makeup, repeat the list to yourself, and go for it!

get heaps of sleep so that you dont have bags, use a whitening toothpaste so that your smile gleams, make sure your hair is nice and have a good diet.
it sounds like a lot but its not.
i used to wear make up everyday, not a lot, just on the eyes.
I stopped cuz I started woking on a farm out doors with lots of animals and I thought what is the point??
now when a do put on a little pit of make up, it makes me feel really pretty, (but not in a big headed sort of way) and I can face waking up in the mornings cuz I know, and so does everyone else what I really look like!!!

just wash your face, pat dry use a tad of moisturizer, put a little gloss on your lips. the main thing is, if your hair is right........It brings your faceout. Doesn't have to be fancy; wear the hair off the face. So your features are seen.

I always do this rarely use lipstick & all that other high price gunk.

have perfect eyebrows and have the fine little hairs removed from your face. theyre not very visible from far away, but they can make your color look uneven without makeup. also make sure youre lips are always moisturized. take care of your skin and make sure its not dry. an ashy face is not attractive.

Eat right, exercise, drink plenty of water to keep skin cleansed, get plenty of rest, Arch eyebrows. (waxing, tweezing, etc.) I got compliments all the time from people thinking I was wearing makeup. I'm in the process of trying to get that back as I speak...

go and get a facial from your local salon like once every 2 weeks..and every day at home wash your face with a mild cleanser that is the right type for your skin (oily - combination - or dry) and moisturize your skin well with a good lotion to keep it looking refreshed so that your natural beauty can shine through!!

...hope that helps..

I don't like to wear makeup in the summertime, so I take care of my skin, use a tinted moisturizer and some great lip balm with SPF.
