I don't know who was in it. All I know is that it was about a band of (ex)Confederate soldiers who end up out west. They had a young bugler and a small dog, and I remember the climax being a battle/calvary charge/massacre against some hostile Indians. (most likely Apache) I'd be guessing that it was made in the '50s, but who knows. It could be in color, but I just know it in black and white, from early '60s TV. (It's NOT the one with Rock Hudson - apparently he played an ex-Confederate officer in the post Civil War old west, as well.) I'd love to see it again, if at all possible. If not, I'd really just like to know the title and who was in it.

Did it have a bunch of well known stars for the time...Chuck Conners, Ricardo Montalban, Slim Pickens, Richard Crenna??? If so its called "The Deserter" from 1971. It was kind of a western version of The Dirty Dozen. Does this sound right?

I wasn't fairly 8 after I observed the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. i became slightly youthful than that after I save in recommendations seeing the afternoon version of yankee Bandstand...Lou Christie making a track The Gypsy Cried, the Impressions doing it truly is all ideal. I also save in recommendations seeing obese Checker, Little Richard, and Bobby Rydell on Bandstand, yet i do not keep in mind any particular track. I knew even at that age that Dick Clark became cool....I save in recommendations him doing the stay classified ads for Beech-Nut Gum.
